Robert Clarence ‘Bob’ Fish, 77

Robert Clarence “Bob” Fish, 77, of Lewes, Del., passed away at home, after a long battle with cancer, on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. He was born Saturday, Sept. 23, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Clarence Fish and Clementine (Rupe) Fish.

Fish proudly served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy, where he made his career as a sailor. After retiring from the Navy, he held many jobs, including his dream job — working in the pro shop at Marsh Island Golf Course. He loved it because it entitled him to free rounds of golf. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool and working on model trains and classic cars. He was a huge fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins.

Fish never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone, and within a couple of minutes he would know everything about them. He was also known for his great storytelling abilities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Fish is survived by his loving wife, Helen Thomas-Fish; his children, Scott Fish and his spouse, Nobue, of Mukilteo, Wash., Mark Fish and his spouse, Belinda, of Fleming Island, Fla., and Jennifer Crouse of Baltimore, Md.; his stepchildren, Margaret Bennett of Galena, Md., Robert Thomas of Berlin, Md., and Robert Posenal of Lewes, Del.; his grandchildren, Patricia Fish, Amanda Stevens, Nicole Crouse and Alex Crouse; his step-grandchildren, Kristen Koethe, Becka Posenal, Allen Wersten, Andrew Wersten, Nick Werstin, R.B. Bennett, Robert Thomas, Taylor Jacobs and Annabelle Thomas; his great-grandchildren, Camryn Ramsel, Mikayla Stevens and Annarose Mistrelta; his step-great-grandchildren, Caleb and Liam Wersten, and Mason and Peyton Koethe; and his siblings, Elaine Bugoski of Woodbury, N.J., and David Fish of Clayton, N.C.

Memorial services were scheduled for Oct. 4, 2016, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Del. Interment will be private.
