Theodore “Ted” L. Russiano, 81

Theodore “Ted” L. Russiano, 81, of Georgetown, Del., formerly of Allentown, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at the Seasons Hospice Inpatient at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del.

Russiano was born June 2, 1935, in Allentown, Pa., son of the late Samuel and Althea (Ziegler) Russiano. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He had the honor of serving 23 years as a district magistrate for the Pennsylvania Judicial System.

After he and his wife retired to Delaware, he enjoyed surf fishing and freshwater fishing. He enjoyed the “simple things” in life, such as spending time with family and watching his favorite baseball and football teams. Russiano was a volunteer for the cardiac rehab at Beebe Healthcare hospital in Lewes, Del., and he helped create the First Town Chapter #344 of Mended Hearts in Lewes. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather that had a wonderful sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David M. Russiano, in 1999. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia J. (Graham) Russiano; a son, Craig Russiano and his wife, Wendi, of Zionsville, Pa.; two grandsons, Nathan Russiano and Jessica Shade of Alburtis, Pa., and Hunter Russiano of Zionsville; a great-granddaughter, Brookelynn Russiano; a brother, David S. Russiano and his wife, Pat, of Alburtis; a sister, Rita Peacock of Texas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service was scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro, Del.

A second funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 274 Krocks Road, Allentown, Pa., where friends and family may call after 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Town Mended Hearts Chapter 344, c/o John Marchetti; 35601 Cedar Valley Ln.; Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
