David N. Reinohl, 87, of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of Annapolis, Md., passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at Delmar Manor in Delmar, Md. Reinohl was born in Hyattsville, Md., on June 17, 1929, son of the late William Parker Reinohl and Grace Mary (Naumann) Reinohl.
Reinohl proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the federal government as a photographer foreman for the Army Map Service (Defense Mapping Agency).
Reinohl enjoyed the outdoors in all aspects, from hunting, fishing and boating to just simply walking and enjoying nature. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Reinohl was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Robbins. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joann J. (Nazit) Reinohl; two children, Connie Collins and her husband, David, of Bishopville, Md., and William Reinohl and his wife, Jocelyn, of Georgetown, Del.; four grandchildren, Christopher Daniel of Bishopville, Md., Elizabeth Hanson and her husband, Richard, of Edgewater, Md., Aaren Hayman and her husband, J.R., of Florida and Jessica Collins and her companion, Michael Ellingsworth, of Ocean City, Md.; and four great-grandchildren, Richard Edwin Hanson IV, Clara Collins-Ellingsworth, Kennedy Hayman and Korie Hayman.
A prayer service will be held Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Del. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to Coastal Hospice; P.O. Box 1733; Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
