Gary Carmean, 70, of Millsboro, Del., passed away at Delaware Hospice Center on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016. He was born July 28, 1946, in Millsboro, Del., to the late Frances Carmean.
Carmean was a self-employed general contractor. He attended Zoar United Methodist Church in Millsboro. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, deer hunting, fishing, traveling, boating, bowling, horseshoes and taking cruises. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Carmean was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Carmean, in 1958. He is survived by two daughters, Lori Showard and her fiancé, Terry L. Nichols, of Georgetown, Del., and Myriah Carmean and her fiancé, Zachary Uphold, of Chincoteague, Va.; six siblings, Shirley Davis, Roy F. Rogers, Barry T. Rogers and his wife, Pam, Ralph W. Rogers and his wife, Cindy, Linda R. Neal and her husband, Wayne, and David A. Rogers, all of Millsboro; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jasmine, Lillian, Cody, Tori and Jayden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
