Jean E. Savage, 82, of Millsboro, Del., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Feb. 10, 1934, daughter of the late James Connelly and Jenny (Armbruster) Connelly.
Savage had previously managed the Two Gates Restaurant in Millsboro and also owned her own cleaning business. She was an avid reader and will be remembered fondly as a meticulous house-cleaner.
In addition to her parents, Savage was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton C. Savage, in 2001 and a step-grandson, Bobby Baker. She is survived by a son, John Barth of Millsboro; two daughters, Margaret Barth of Philadelphia and Jennifer Barth of Burien, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Baker of Millsboro; a sister, Betty McBride of New Jersey; two step-grandsons, Carlton Thomas Baker of Pittsville, Md., and Jesse Savage of Georgetown, Del.; and two step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was scheduled for Dec. 21, 2016, at St. George’s Cemetery in Clarksville, Del.
