Patricia Ann Webb, 63, of Georgetown, Del., passed away Dec. 10, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her husband and loving family. She was born on Oct. 2, 1953, in Dover, Del., to the late Clay Elmer Waite and Julia Fern Eskridge Waite.
Webb was married for 46 years to the love of her life and dearest friend of all, William Edward Webb Sr., and together they raised three children. She worked at Stockley Center for 30 years, retiring in 2004. Webb graduated from Delaware Technical Community College with an associate degree in early childhood education and in social-service technology. She served as a Girl Scout leader for 15 years. She loved baking, craft sales, quarter auctions, the slots and doing Christmas gifts for needy families. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and grandkids.
In addition to her parents, Webb was preceded in death by a son, David Givens Jr., in 2009; a brother, Clay Elmer Waite Jr., in 1987; and her father-in-law, Bill Webb, in 1992. In addition to her husband, Webb is survived by two children, William E. “Eddie” Webb Jr. and his wife, Margaret, and Tammy Long and her husband, Shane, all of Georgetown; a sister, Sharon Cooper of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; many extended family members; and many friends.
A funeral service and celebration of life were scheduled for Dec. 17, 2016, at Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro, Del., officiated by the Rev. Martha A. Tankard. Interment was to be private.
