Jerry Lee Taylor, 70, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away on Jan. 8, 2017.
Taylor was born in Chincoteague, Va., on Oct. 14, 1946, to the late John Taylor and Emma Thorton Taylor.
Taylor was a self-employed cabinetmaker and a veteran of the Delaware National Guard. He was very skilled at cabinetmaking, making countertops and woodworking. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, and loved to spend time fishing and crabbing with his children. Taylor could be loving, friendly and jolly, and loved to joke around.
In addition to his parents, Taylor was also preceded in death by his wife, Marion B. Tuman Taylor, on Jan. 4, 2016, as well as a sister, Jackie Russell. He is survived by three children, Lisa Potts of Milton, Del., Dean Scott Taylor of Lewes, Del., and Jason T. Taylor and his wife, Linda, of Seaford, Del.; two sisters, Vicki Elwood and her husband, Paul, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Rose Wright and her husband, Tom, of Chincoteague; four grandchildren, Robert Taylor, James Christopher Potts, Kari Epperson and Alisha Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Starsha Epperson and Ryen Taylor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was scheduled for Jan. 12, 2017, at Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro, Del. Interment was to be private. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
