Joseph C. Diehl, 85, of Selbyville, Del., died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. He was born in New Jersey, son of the late Joseph and Annie Diehl.
Diehl had been a truck driver for Yellow Freight Company for many years and was a member of the Fenwick Island Lions Club and Seaside Railroad Club. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Diehl was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Diehl. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Diehl of Selbyville; three stepchildren, Daniel Hubscher and his wife, Maryrose, of Annapolis, Md., Karen Stokes of Upper Marlboro, Md., and David Hubscher of Weymouth, Ma.; a sister, Hilda Diehl; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service was scheduled for March 7, 2017, at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville, Del. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro.
