Timothy J. Munro, 68, of Selbyville, Del., died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at home. He was born in Bellingham, Wash., and was the son of the late Sterling S. Munro and Dorothea (Spears) Munro.
Munro started a home repair business in 1973 and then opened Fenwick Hardware in 1975. He was a member and on the board of Trustees at St. Matthews By-the-Sea United Methodist Church and past president of Bethany-Fenwick Chamber of Commerce for two terms.
Munro is survived by his wife, Pam M. Munro of Selbyville; a son, Timothy A. Munro, also of Selbyville; a sister, Jane A. Munro of Fredericksburg, Va., and a grandson, Sebastian D. Munro.
A celebration of Munro’s life will be held at the Lobster Shanty on Route 54 near Fenwick Island, Del., on Wednesday, May 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA, Sussex Chapter, 22918 Dupont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
