Joseph C. Russell Jr., 74, or Millsboro, Del., passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born in Wilmington, Del., on April 16, 1943, to the late Joseph C. Russell Sr. and Bernice Windsor Russell.
Russell graduated from John Dickinson High School in Wilmington, Del. and later took accounting night classes at Delaware Technical Community College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a Seabee. Russell was an electrician by trade and was also a member of the Armstrong Masonic Lodge No. A.F. & A.M. in Newport, Del. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, and reading just about any kind of book or newspaper, and kept up on the latest electronic gadgets.
He leaves behind his devoted companion of 37 years, Terri O’Neal of Millsboro; a sister, Barbara Smith, and her husband, Temple; two nephews, Kenny Maynard and his wife, Kathy, and Joey Smith and his wife, Kathy, all of Wilmington; a special friend, Paul Bradley; and his beloved feline friends, Abby and Emily.
