Alice Faye Boyce Shockley, 60, of Selbyville, Del., passed away in the care of Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md., on June 5, 2017. She was born on Jan. 22, 1957, to the late Lorenzo L. and Jeanette Collins Boyce in Seaford, Del.
Shockley was a waitress, working in several local restaurants. She liked to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching soap operas as a pastime. She was family-oriented, and it is easy to say that her family was her hobby and career.
In addition to her parents, a beloved son, Ronald Robbins, passed away in 1984. Shockley is survived by her husband of 30 years, Johnnie Shockley; two children, Daniel Robbins and his wife, Andrea, of Dagsboro, Del., and Julie Franklin of Selbyville. three brothers, Robert Boyce Sr. and his wife, Patsy, of Dagsboro, Del., Bryan Boyce and his wife, Sandy, of Frankford, Del., and Ebben Boyce of Dagsboro; many wonderful grandchildren, whom she adored, especially Jeanette Alberts, Ronald Alberts and Daniel Robbins Jr.; and her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who she adored.
A celebration of her life was to be held June 11, 2017, at the Elks Lodge, Bishopville, Md. Interment arrangements were private.
