Harlene Louise Riddle, 68, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on June 9, 2017, in the care of Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del. She was born on July 31, 1948 in Dagsboro, Del., to the late Harley Bentley and Evelyn Louise Kruger Bentley.
She married Glen David Riddle on Nov. 13, 1965, and together they raised a family, ran a chicken farm and became a part of the community. Riddle was self-employed, running the poultry farm for the past 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her girls’ trips to Vegas.
In addition to her parents, Riddle was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Bentley and Donald Elzey. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Glen; her daughter, Lori Niblett and her husband, Kenny; her son, Paul, and his fiancée, Brooke; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Schmidt; her brother, Ralph Bentley and his wife, Velma, from Georgia; five grandsons, Joshua, Justin, Tanner, Paul Riddle Jr. and Keith; granddaughter, Savannah; five great-grandchildren, Aden Kissinger and Gunner, Jaelyn, Charolette and Aubrielle Niblett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
There was to be a funeral service and celebration of her life on June 13, 2017, at Watson Funeral Home, with interment at Carey’s Cemetery, both in Millsboro, Del.
