Joshua C. “Josh” Hoffer, 33, of Greenwood, Del., passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. He was born in Lewes, Del., on May 10, 1984, to the late John Clinton Hoffer and to Lynne Shaak Hoffer, who survives him.
Hoffer worked as a customer-service associate for Jake’s Wayback Burgers. He was a member of Hickory Hill United Methodist Church in Millsboro, Del. Even though he resided in Greenwood, he grew up in Millsboro and had a lot of friends and family there. Hoffer loved motorcycles, especially his new Honda Shadow. He also loved the outdoors, camping with his family, fishing, shooting guns and working with his hands. He was a devoted husband and father, and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Hoffer is survived by his wife of 13 years, Robin M. Hoffer of Greenwood; his maternal grandparents, Gail and Frank Kerr of Palmyra, Pa.; paternal grandparents, Elener and Jay Hoffer of Annville, Pa.; three children, Alexis Brown, Trent Hoffer and Jenna Hoffer; two sisters, Jamie Hoffer and her fiancé, Sean Messick, and his son, Ryder, of Millsboro, and Nichole Meeks of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, John Hoffer II of Millsboro; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was scheduled for June 18, 2017, at Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested donations to help offset the cost of final expenses. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
