Gary R. “Pete” Aldridge, 72, of Selbyville, Del., died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Md. He was born in Cumberland, Md., and was the son of the late Charles H. Aldridge and Ruth (Pitzer) Aldridge.
Aldridge had worked as an automobile painter, and owned and operated Remington’s Bar in Beltsville, Md. He was a member of American Legion Post #136 in Greenbelt, Md., and an avid NASCAR fan. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Aldridge is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Aldridge; two daughters, Wendy L. Tyler and her husband, Danny, and Susan A. Wilson and her husband, Christian, all of Kent Island, Md.; two sisters, Nancy Hedglen of Clayton, Calif., and Jane Farrow of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Richard Aldridge of Denton, Md.; and four grandchildren; Zachary Wilson, Chase Wilson, Evan Tyler and Mackenzie Wilson.
A memorial service was scheduled for June 20, 2017, at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, Selbyville, Del., with the Rev. Dr. James Van Der Wall officiating.
