Joyce M. Creamer, 74, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away at home in the loving care of her family and the Delaware Hospice. She was born Dec. 22, 1942, in Wilmington, Del., to the late Joseph J. Malanafy and Eunice Lane Malanafy.
On Nov. 22, 1975, she married Robert Creamer, and together they raised two children. She worked at the DuPont Graphics Center in Boothwyn, Pa., retiring after 23 years. She was gregarious, outgoing, somewhat outspoken and very funny, with a contagious laugh and always remaining very dedicated to her family. Creamer loved the beach, photography, writing poetry, and playing the organ. She was also a ladies’ auxiliary member of American Legion Post 28.
In addition to her parents, Creamer was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Creamer, in 2001. In addition to her beloved husband, Robert, she is survived by her son, Glenn Creamer, and his wife, Jennifer, of Newark, Del.; five grandchildren, Amber, Michael, Keith, Katie and Michelle; and a great-grandchild, Bryson.
A funeral service and celebration of Creamer’s life were scheduled for July 5, 2017, at Watson Funeral Home, with interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, both in Millsboro, Del.
