Elizabeth “Betty-O” Creadick, 86

Elizabeth “Betty-O” Creadick, 86, of Lewes, Del., passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence. She was born Thursday, April 30, 1931, in Lewes, Del., daughter of the late Charles Collins and Mary (Perry) Collins.

Creadick was born and raised in Lewes and graduated from Lewes High School in 1949. During her high school years, she enjoyed participating in many activities, including basketball, softball and chorus. Following her graduation, she wed Eddie Creadick, and they would go on to share 65 wonderful years together.

In addition to taking care of her husband, which was its own full-time job, Creadick worked for many years at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, as a switchboard operator. In her free time, Creadick enjoyed the beach, shopping, reading and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and dear friend. Like the bride-and-groom trees that stand outside her home, Creadick was a longtime fixture in the community who will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Creadick was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandy Ribinsky and her husband, Joe Ribinsky Jr., of Millsboro, Del., and Beth McCormick and her husband, Allyn, of Lewes; her four grandchildren, Joey Ribinsky III and his wife, Mindy, Bobby Ribinsky Sr., Casey Cornellier and her husband, Thomas, and Erin Cahill; six great-grandchildren, Eleah Vittaco and her husband, Michael, Lindsay Ribinsky, Joey Ribinsky and his wife, Jenna, Bobby Ribinsky Jr., Pearl Cornellier and Duke Cornellier; and her great-great-grandchild, Adin Vittaco.

Memorial services were scheduled for June 29, 2017, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, Del., with entombment at Bethel Methodist Cemetery Mausoleum.
