David Martin Bloodsworth Jr., 49, of Lewes, Del., passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, Del. He was born Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1967, in Salisbury, Md., son of the late David M. Bloodsworth Sr. and Mary Louise Bloodsworth Scott of Lewes.
He graduated from Sussex Central High School, in the Class of 1985, and went on to attend Washington and Lee University’s School of Commerce, from which he graduated in 1989. He later received his master’s degree in business administration at Kellogg Graduate School of North Western University. Bloodsworth made his career as a consultant for various Fortune 500 companies throughout the U.S.
In his spare time, Bloodsworth enjoyed traveling worldwide. He was a loving partner, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Bloodsworth is survived by his life partner, Louis Joseph Raymo IV of Lewes; his stepfather, Ralph L. Scott Jr; his stepbrothers, Ralph Scott and his wife, Ida, of Seaford, Del., and Jeff Scott and his wife, Jeanine, of Bridgeville, Del.; his uncle, John A Drews of Newport Beach, Calif.; several nieces and nephews; and his loving and loyal dog, Monty.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th Street, Lewes, Del., where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Center; 100 Patriots Way; Milford, DE 19963, or to Delaware Technical Community College; 21179 College Dr.; Georgetown, DE 19947-Attn: the David M.
