Sarah Beth Wilkerson, 74, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away gently while surrounded by her loving family, on July 10, 2017, in the care of Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. She was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Salisbury, to the late James R. Vickers and Grace Vickers.
Wilkerson was an only child. Due to circumstances in life, she ended up being raised by her maternal grandparents, Pearl and Howard Vickers. She married Robert Wilkerson, her husband of 55 years, who survives her. She was a homemaker, and together they raised two children.
Wilkerson loved gardening, tending flowers, music and, when she was younger, playing the piano. She loved being with her husband and family and was very dedicated to them. She also had a love for animals, and was preceded in death by her beloved canine friends Lucky and Spike.
Wilkerson is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, William Woodrow Wilkerson and his wife, Margaret, of Millsboro, Del., and Steven Howard Wilkerson and his wife, Linda, of Dagsboro, Del.; a grandchild, Mackenzie Wilkerson; and her special friends and confidantes, Sandra Wilkerson and Betty Mitchell.
A graveside service was scheduled for July 17, 2017, at Dagsboro’s Redmen Memorial Cemetery, Del. Floral tributes were welcomed, as are memorial contributions to a charity of the giver’s choice. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
