Brian Clark Aisquith, 69, of Ocean View, Del., formerly of Edgewater, Md., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. He was born in Annapolis, Md., on Oct. 7, 1947, to the late Elgin C. Aisquith and Elizabeth J. (Walters) Smith.
Aisquith proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, from 1967 to 1971. He worked for the U.S. Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C., as a computer systems analyst until his retirement in 2001, with more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Aisquith was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce E. Aisquith. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Janice A. (Dean) Aisquith; a daughter, Pamela J. Ford of Hagerstown, Md.; a son, Christopher C. Aisquith and his wife, Emily, of Ocean View; two grandchildren, Daniel C. Aisquith and Ryan C. Aisquith, both of Ocean View; a sister, Carol Steele of Lynchburg, Va.; and a stepsister, Linda L. Smith of Salem, Va.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m., with memorial service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, Del. Interment was to be private. Condolences may be sent online at www.melsonfuneralservices.com.
