In an opening day featuring 16 singles qualifying matches at the ninth annual ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony (a $25,000 USTA Pro Circuit event), 13th seeded American Haley Giavara needed three sets to top Canadian Louise Kwong 6-3 5-7 10-7 to win the day’s longest match.
